Inspiring Remembrance, Reflection, and Hope
Combined Jewish Philanthropies of Greater Boston (CJP) asked us to refresh their website for the New England Holocaust Memorial. In particular, they wanted to align the site’s visual style with the branding for their new virtual and mobile tours of the Memorial.
To start, we wireframed new page layouts to better highlight impactful content like survivor stories, and updated the site’s visual design and interactions to better match the modern feel of the Memorial’s virtual tour. During our discovery process, we realized some of the site’s information architecture and content could use a refresh too. So we did a light content rework and reorganization to make it easier for locals, tourists, and school groups to discover both rich historical context about the Holocaust as well as practical information about visiting the Memorial.
Altogether, the refreshed 20-page responsive website has an updated look and feel that connects with the Memorial’s new virtual tour and helps future generations learn from the tragedies of the Holocaust.
