A Sustainable Home Builder’s Website, Rebuilt To Endure
Thoughtforms, one of New England’s leading home builders, needed a better way to showcase their high-end work. While the sustainability-driven company builds homes to endure, their old website was missing some modern functionality. In particular, the client wanted a new site that was responsive, had a portfolio with larger photos and more robust filtering options, and an easier to navigate user experience.
To lay a strong foundation for Thoughtforms’ new website, we started with stakeholder interviews, a content audit, and an analysis of their competitors. Next came framing up the new website with a card sorting exercise to reorganize the site’s information architecture and best inform creating new wireframes. Meanwhile, our dev team was rebuilding the portfolio section from the ground up to include bigger photos and more robust filtering like multi-select functionality and search capabilities.
By the time we wrapped up the fit and finish work, Thoughtforms had a new website built to endure. A responsive site that looks great on mobile or desktop, with a robust portfolio custom-built to showcase their stunning work. Plus, a new, intuitive user experience to help clients find just what they want when evaluating one of the top sustainable builders around.
